Bill Bowen
Bill’s story sounds like the plot of a movie. An accident caused by a malfunctioning parachute left Bill with a compound fracture in his left leg, a broken femur, a shattered pelvis, a dislocated right leg, a broken back–in two places, a broken nose, a shattered cheek bone, broken teeth, and a torn femoral artery. Bill was in rough shape when he was air-lifted to Regions Hospital for his life-threatening injuries. Commenting on his experience at Regions Hospital, Bill joked, "If they have all your parts they are going to try to pull you back together." Bill should know. He recently went skydiving again.
